Team Days 2018

23. January 2019

In the end of November the time has come: The 13th Team Days were on our agenda and that is why over 200 team members from all of the hotels gathered at our Hotel & Spa Jesolo in Italy. This year the focus was the development of our brand and enough time to get to know our colleagues.

The Team Days are a great spectacle every year where neither cost nor effort have been spared to create some exciting days for our team members. Everybody was cordially received and could already exchange information before they could sit down in the conference center and were welcomed by the management board. After the obligatory speeches already the first highlight was awaited: the award ceremony

Every year Falkensteiner rewards those who achieved something special and have therefore earned a particular recognition for their work. On the one hand hotels are awarded, on the other hand individual persons. This year four awards were handed over.

The Welcome Home Award, which contains guest evaluations, taking into consideration the Welcome Home Spirits, was won by Hotel Schladming (first picture) for the second time in a row. Concerning the Excellence Award the guest satisfaction and compliance with the budget is decision-relevant and this year our Hotel Belgrade (second picture) could secure the award – as well for the second time in a row. Congratulations!

The Welcome Home Employee of the Year is elected among the employees of the month per hotel. At the Team Days the lucky one is then drawn out of those nominees. This year it was Magdalena Holzer from the Hotel & Spa Falkensteinerhof, congratulations!

Moreover the Erich Falkensteiner Award is handed over for special performance and leadership. We congratulate Karin Mitterrutzner from Michaeler & Partner Vahrn who was promoted to managing director this year because of her effort and performance.

Back in the hotel we had a delicious meal and sitting together the evening came to an end. In the morning the next step on the agenda followed: a brand journey. The participants had to complete 14 stations divided into teams per hotel working on the brand development with the special fun factor. At the end everybody got a signed book.

In the afternoon other team members could get to know each other better during various leisure activities, either while shopping in an outlet or during a trip to Venice. In a relaxed atmosphere it was easy to get to know colleagues better that you did not know well before.

In the evening it continues with the much longed-for party. Everybody could find masks at their rooms to put the finishing touch on their outfit. In front of the photo wall many pictures were taken before the party really started. A belly dancer and a live band with saxophonist put the crowd in the right mood before a DJ took over to dance the night away. What could not be missing: Erich Falkensteiner’s home cooked midnight pasta

So the Team Days 2018 were over way too soon and we are already looking forward to next year!
